Capture the lesson.
Keep studying it later.
Take a picture of a sermon or Bible-class slide, bring it into your notes, connect the Scriptures, highlight important points, and keep the lesson organized for later study.
How it works
Start with the free photo-reading option for normal sermon slides and Bible-class screens. You can check and correct the text before keeping it in your notes. No paid AI required. If a difficult picture needs extra help, an optional Pro reader can be offered without replacing the free option.
You do not need to speak voice notes during worship or Bible class. Snap the slide, keep listening, and work with the picture and notes quietly on your phone or tablet.
How to use this page
The short version
Type your notes in the big cream box. Add photos or church art with the buttons underneath. Tap Save note when you are done. Everything is saved as you type, so nothing is lost if the battery dies.
Getting a picture in
- Take Photo – opens the camera straight away. This is the one to use at church for the screen at the front.
- Add Photo from Device – a picture already on this device: your photo library or saved files.
- Add Church Art – built-in symbols (cross, dove, open Bible, alpha and omega) or search for a church picture online, to dress up your note.
Adding church art
Tap Add Church Art. The Built-in tab has a small set of simple symbols ready to use – tap one and it drops straight into your note. The Search tab lets you type a word like “cross” or “baptism” and pick from real photos; results are kept to church and religious pictures.
Lining up and cropping a photo
After you take or pick a photo, a window opens with gold lines across it. Drag the middle of the box to move it, or drag a gold corner circle to resize it. Then tap Add to note. If the photo came out bad, tap Pick another and try again.
Turning a photo into words
Took a picture of the preacher’s slide and want the words instead of the picture? In the crop window, tap Copy text from photo. The app reads the picture and types the words into your note for you.
It is not perfect. Check the words afterwards, especially names and verse numbers. It works best on a photo that is straight on, well lit, and close enough that the words are big.
Writing and formatting
Highlight a word or a line first, then tap a button.
- B makes text bold, I makes it slanted, U underlines it.
- Highlight paints a colored band behind the words, like a marker.
- A (with the arrow) changes the color of the letters.
- Font changes the lettering style.
- Size makes the writing bigger or smaller.
Lists and alignment
Use the bullet button for a dotted list, or the numbered button for 1, 2, 3. Tap it once and start typing. Press Enter for the next point. Press Enter twice to stop the list.
The Left / Center / Right buttons push your writing to that side of the page.
Undo a mistake
Tap Undo to take back the last thing you did. Tap Redo if you undid one too many.
Reading your note aloud
Tap Read aloud to have the note read back to you. Pick a different voice from the dropdown next to it if you like. Tap Stop reading to stop.
Scripture and verses
Type a verse the normal way, such as Acts 2:38, and keep going (or press Enter). It turns into a gold button by itself. Tap that button and the verse shows right here in a popup, no page change.
If a verse did not turn gold, highlight it and tap the blue Link Scripture button.
It knows all 66 books and forgives small spelling slips, so Phillipians and Philippians both work.
The Bible screen
Tap the Bible bar above Saved notes. The Bible opens on its own full screen, and Back to notes at the top takes you back to your note right where you were.
Inside it you can switch versions, highlight verses, read commentary and search, just like the Bible Reader page.
Reading list
If you are asked to read Scripture, put the passages in ahead of time. Open the Bible screen, tap Reading list, type a passage such as John 3:16 or Romans 8, and tap Add. When it is time to read, tap the passage and it opens. Use the arrows to put them in order and the X to remove one.
Study tools (print, dark theme, worship mode, search)
- Print notes and Download notes make a clean copy of your note.
- Hide red lines removes the red underlines from verse links before you print.
- Dark theme turns the page dark. Tap Light theme to go back.
- Worship mode hides everything but your note. Tap Exit worship mode at the top right to return.
- Search all notes finds a word in any saved note.
- Return to last Bible place reopens the last chapter you chose.
The boxes at the top
- Title – what the note is called, such as Sunday AM – The New Birth. This is the name you will look for later.
- Speaker – who preached or taught.
- Date – when it was.
- Main scripture – the main passage the lesson came from.
Fill these in first. It only takes a moment and it makes the note easy to find months later.
Saving your work
The page saves as you type. A closed lid, a dead battery, or a page shut by accident will not lose the note.
Tap Save note to file it properly under its title. It then appears in the Saved notes list at the bottom of this page.
Finding a note you saved
Scroll to the bottom of this page for the Saved notes list. Tap any note to open it back up and keep working on it, or tap Delete to remove one.
Starting a fresh note
Tap New note for a blank page. The note you were on is already saved, so nothing is lost.
Using it on more than one device
Right now, notes are saved only on the device you wrote them on – not shared between your phone, tablet, and computer. If you write on your phone at church, that note will not show up on your computer at home yet.
Save as PDF and printing
Tap Save as PDF for a clean copy with the buttons stripped out.
In the print preview, tap Options and turn Headers and Footers off. Otherwise the web address and the time get stamped across every page.
Export to Word
Tap Export to Word for a document you can open in Word, with your photos inside it. Use this when you want to keep editing the note somewhere else, or hand it to somebody who does not use this site.
Email note
Tap Email note to send the note to yourself or to somebody else. This also downloads a Word file with any photos – attach that file to the email before sending.
If something goes wrong
- A button does nothing – close the page and open it again.
- The page looks old or wrong – pull down on the screen to refresh it.
- A photo will not go in – it may be too large. Take it again from a little farther back.
- Words came out garbled from a photo – the picture was too dark or too slanted. Take it again straight on with more light.
- Church art search finds nothing – try a simpler word, or use the Built-in tab instead.
- A note seems missing – check the Saved notes list at the bottom of this page.
Tips for taking notes at church
- Fill in the title, speaker, and date before the lesson starts.
- Snap the slide first, write about it afterwards. The slide will be gone before your sentence is.
- Type verses as you hear them. They turn into buttons on their own and you can read them properly at home.
- Do not fix your spelling during the lesson. Keep up, then tidy up later.
- Turn the sound off before service.
